BuffBrigade

Your army grows on its own. What you do with it is the game.

Hold one fortified plateau. Your brigade spawns on a timer, your kills pay for the upgrades, and the last Stronghold standing wins. Every tier you buy arms the whole army at once.

What it is

A strategy game with the busywork removed

No worker economy, no build queue, no per-unit micro. What is left is the part that was always the decision: what do you spend on, and where do you send the army you already have.

Killing is how you get paid

A fighter pays a base 5 gold and 5 wood. A gate or tower pays 30g and 15w. Cracking an enemy Stronghold pays 250g. Faction bonuses can add to that baseline.

No economy to babysit

There are no workers, no gathering and no build queue. A flat +5 gold and +5 wood lands every 8.3 seconds for everyone still alive, but that trickle is a floor to keep you in the game, never a way to win it.

One tap commands the brigade

Tap any of your fighters and the whole formation is selected. Tap ground to move, tap an enemy to attack. No drag-select, no control groups, no per-unit micro.

Upgrades arm everyone instantly

There is no unit shop and no tech tree to plan around. Buy an Armory tier and every fighter you own, present and future, is upgraded the moment you pay.

A fortified plateau with four gate barricades and corner towers, a full brigade of fighters massed beside the Stronghold
Four ramps in, four towers out. Break a barricade and you have a breach.

The core loop

Everything runs on one 8.3 second heartbeat

Income, spawns and pressure all land on the same clock. Learn that rhythm and you know exactly when you can afford to push.

  1. 1

    A baseline lands

+5 gold and +5 wood every 8.3s, the same for everyone alive. It keeps you in the game; it does not pay for a win.

  2. 2

    A wave spawns

On the same clock your Stronghold adds a fighter, up to 6 per wave once Recruit Wave is maxed. You never queue a unit.

  3. 3

    You spend

One Armory purchase upgrades every fighter you own and every one you will ever spawn. Instantly.

  4. 4

    You fight, and get paid

This is where the money is. A fighter has a base bounty of 5g, a gate pays 30g, and an enemy Stronghold pays 250g. Faction bonuses can add to the fighter bounty.

The Armory

Fifteen lines. One army-wide effect.

There is no unit shop and no tech tree to plan around. Buy a tier and every fighter you own is upgraded the moment you pay, along with every one that spawns after.

Gold and wood deliberately do not convert. Gear is mostly wood-priced while skills and economy are gold-priced, so you are permanently holding a surplus of the wrong currency. That is what the Trader is for.

Factions

Five silhouettes, one upgrade tree

A faction changes your spawn roster and your look, never the tree you buy from. Player colour lives in the ring on the ground, so faction identity and team colour never fight each other.

The promise

You cannot buy a win here

Buff Brigade sells identity and convenience. It does not sell power. This is written into the product plan, not a marketing line we can quietly drop.

  • No purchase ever buys ranked combat stats, matchmaking advantage, ladder points, or rank protection.
  • No forced ads. Nothing interstitial, and never an ad after a match.
  • The premium-candidate Devil faction is currently limited to offline and practice; Ranked uses the four free factions.
  • Full Auto is an offline convenience licence and is disabled in Ranked.

Questions

Straight answers

What kind of game is Buff Brigade?

A base-siege strategy battler. Two to 12 commanders take slots on the 96x68 Foundry Arena, each with one fortified plateau. Your income is passive, your army spawns on a timer, and you win by being the last Stronghold standing. Matches are designed for 6 to 10 minutes, but there is no normal gameplay time limit.

Is it free?

Yes. The current offline build includes bot matches, local saves and permanent non-competitive progress. It is ad-free by default: ads are never forced, never interstitial, and never shown after a match.

Can I buy an advantage?

No. The purchase system is not connected to public storefronts yet, and the catalog contract never permits ranked combat stats, matchmaking advantage, ladder points, rank protection, or an exclusive counter. Devil is currently an offline/practice premium candidate and is not Ranked-eligible. Full Auto is also disabled in Ranked.

How does online play work?

Public online play is not live yet. The planned first queue is 1v1 Ranked Duel on a server-authoritative match host. The signed queue/session API and authoritative host exist, but the public match transport is still being completed.

Which platforms?

Current staging export presets target Windows and Linux. Android, iOS, macOS and Steam releases are planned; account and entitlement portability is built for those future platform releases.

Does it need an internet connection?

Only for online modes. The whole offline campaign against bots runs with zero network access.

The current offline build includes bot matches, local saves and permanent progression with no network needed.
